Biography A freelance artist working independently since 1997, D.L. Keur works
in a variety of media, from visual to tactile to audio. Having
embraced the digital revolution, Ms. Keur has "come home," abandoning,
for the most part, all other mediums. Says Ms. Keur, "The digital
allows me the freedom to express my vision with very little
limitation, very little mess, and it's so Earth friendly, all pluses
in my book. And I don't have to worry about leaving the paint out, the
canvas exposed, or the clay unwrapped if an emergency comes up. Of
course, I don't get the benefit of the cat walking across the work and
leaving a message for posterity, but there are always some
sacrifices."
Statement I paint my impressions, I paint my emotions...my feelings. I paint my
anger and my joy. I paint my wonder at the cosmos and what might be. I
try to capture the essence of the moment...the depth of reality...the
possibilities. I'm not always successful, but, sometimes, magic
happens. ...I am very much a "zen" artist. I let the art happen.
